ACTIVITIES

The NGSCS in collaboration with NGGS make every effort to support Sports in Cyprus on the basis of present-day understanding and the recent data regarding sports. Apart from preserving and improving the records of the athletes who are serving in the army, it also tries to contribute - to the fullest of its powers - in uplifting Cyprus's Sports. Beyond the expected military education, exercising, and training, the athletes serving in the army are also offered the necessary means and facilities for their own training. Within this context the NGSCS has formed permanent Armed Forces National Teams in group sports (Football, Basketball, Volleyball) and individual sports (track and field, martial arts), which participate in the world Games of Armed Forces that take place throughout the globe.
