1. Organising and developing sports relevant to swimming, that is the competitive swimming, the water polo, diving, modern swimming and swimming in the open sea (marathon race).
2. Drawing up, bringing out and implementing the special rules, which should govern every competition or other events organised by the Cyprus Amateur Swimming Federation or its members. It is understood that these special rules will not be opposite but compatible with the spirit of the FINA?s regulations.
3. Financing, setting up prizes and supervising local, national, international and other games for all the swimming sports in Cyprus
4. Organising courses and seminars dealing with all the swimming sports, to train athletes, starters, umpires, referees, coaches and the leading persons in the games as well as determining the criteria regarding the level and the qualifications required for the participation in the games.
5. Selecting the athletes who the national teams consist of and choosing the leadership of the team each time it will compete either in Cyprus or anywhere else apart from the island.
6. Selecting the coach / es and the responsible liaison who will go abroad.
7. Promoting and implementing high standard security and health measures for the swimming pools and the beaches as well as implementing all the measures imposed by the FINA to forbid the use, of anabolic drugs and other harmful substances by the athletes under its umbrella
.8. Appointing a Judicial Committee with a view to judging sport offences according to the statutes and the special regulations of the Federation.
