1. Promoting the education and welfare of the blind, which comprises their employment and more generally their reinstatement.

2. Searching for verifying the number of the blind in Cyprus, the reasons for their blindness, their conditions of living and their needs.

3. Encouraging taking the necessary preventive measures and promoting the cure of blindness, relieving those suffering from the inconvenience resulting from the limited sight and also the disappearance of the reasons causing the blindness.

4. Educating and assisting anyone to be educated to offer one?s work or voluntary services related to the objectives of the Organisation.

5. Enlightening the public as to the problems faced by the blind and their welfare.

6. Developing activities bringing about equal professional opportunities to the blind as to those with no sight default and also equal professional and social promotion.

7. Co-operating with brother organisations and especially with the Blind Association.

8. Full social emancipation of the blind.

9. Promoting and developing sports among the blind.
