1. Promoting the underwater sport activities and dives

2. Enhancing the security measures related to sport dives and underwater activities.

3. Providing perfect training related to dives and underwater activities and to the various rescue methods; the Federation, which is recognised by the World Underwater Federation, awards the participants a relevant diploma.

4. Co-operating with the Cyprus Sport Organisation and the other competent government authorities as well as similar Federations, Clubs or Organisations in Cyprus and abroad.

5. Protecting the marine environment

6. Controlling, educating and supplying with educative material the various Dive Clubs, which are expected to become members.

7. Keeping funds for the smooth functioning of the Federation

8. Setting up regional bureaux in the whole island of Cyprus

9. Organising, setting up prizes or participating in local or international competitions among the member Clubs or the World Underwater Federation members.
