1. Encouraging, promoting, co-ordinating, running, taking care of, cultivating and developing the shooting sport of both running target and shotgun, in Cyprus and in all ages independently to the sex, the social stratum, the religion or the national community.
2. Creating shooting grounds in both the towns and the country and their affiliating to the regional structure
3. Organising on a systematic basis, approving or participating in the organisation of international, regional, Pan Cyprian or other shooting matches or meetings
4. Financing local and international shooting matches in Cyprus and abroad
5. Selecting the best shooters of the Federation to represent Cyprus in international championships and meetings, organising and training the National Teams independently to the origin or the national community of the shooters and calling in Cyprus foreign teams
6. Encouraging the talented shooters
7. Awarding prizes and subsidizing the members of the Cyprus pre national, national, pre Olympic and other teams
8. Connecting the Federation with international organisations, which go after common objectives
9. Trying to stimulate the interest in this sport among pupils and adolescents or other organised groups
10. Co-operating with the rest Cypriot sport organisations and federations or administrations and participating in existing or to be organisations going after the same or similar objectives
11. Organising on a regular basis hunting position matches to attract the interest of hunters in shooting as a sport and identifying potential talents
12. Issuing internal regulations, which fix all the subjects related to the shooters registering and transferring, new clubs affiliating to it, restructuring of its services and in general terms its functioning as the national vehicle for practising the shooting sport in Cyprus
13. The Federation affiliating to the Union Internationale de Tir or the ISU and any other International or Regional Federation or Confederation
